Emilio Pucci

Emilio Pucci was crowned “The Prince of Prints” by the International fashion press who were smitten by his bold, new designs and radical approach to fashion at the time. Pucci’s love affair of Italian craftsmanship, luxury, color, and design began over six decades ago his influence on textiles and prints continues to resonate in today’s couture.  What started out as a need to design new and more functional skiwear for his ski team led to the creation of a fashion empire.  Pucci designed the first Capri pant, futuristic airline uniforms for Braniff International, the logo for the Apollo 15 space mission, porcelain vases for Rosenthal, the interiors of the Ford Lincoln Continental Mark IV, silk scarves, silk dresses, jumpsuits, pajamas, and much more.

Stanley Marcus of Neiman Marcus encouraged Pucci to use his designs on blouses and wrinkle-free printed silk dresses.  In the 1960s, Marilyn Monroe was photographed by George Barris in a number of Pucci items. She was buried in one of his dresses. His designs were worn by everyone from Sophia Loren to Jackie Kennedy to Madonna.  In 2007, the brand celebrated its 60th anniversary.  Celebrities such as Isabella Rossellini, Elizabeth Hurley, Jennifer Lopez, and Victoria Beckham wear Pucci creations, and has become the subject of both private and museum collections.

Eyewear

The Emilio Pucci Eyewear Collection pays homage to an array of vintage prints, adorned monograms, and cascading colors. The collection is fused with the design vision of Peter Dundas. Emilio Pucci – Latest 2013 Styles showcase kaleidoscope patterns on the arms on the frames while others are molded or laser cut into intricate designs, for a look rarely seen within the world of eyewear. The collection features square, rectangular, round, and cat-eye frames.  Our staff is very excited to have this unique collection in all of Downtown Calgary.
