What is LATISSE®?

LATISSE® (bimatoprost topical solution 0.03%) is clinically proven to grow lashes longer, fuller and darker. In a clinical trial, lashes were 25% longer, 106% fuller, 18% darker and 78% of users experienced a significant improvement in overall eyelash performance. To make it easier on your schedule, LATISSE® is applied once a day and preferably at night as part of your bedtime routine.

How does LATISSE® work?

So how does LATISSE® work? LATISSE® is believed to prolong the analog phase (active growth phase) so your lashes have more time to develop. The exact mechanism is still not known.

We do not recommend using LATISSE® if are pregnant or breastfeeding; you have an active eye infection or inflammation; eyelid disease; eyelid infection; broken or irritated eyelid skin; or eye injury; needing eye surgery; or taking medications for glaucoma to lower eye pressure.

LATISSE® Side Effects

Like all medicines, LATISSE® can have side effects. The most common side effects include itchy and/or red eyes. This was reported in approximately 4% of patients. Less common side effects include eyelid skin darkening which may be reversible, iris pigmentation which is irreversible, eye irritation, dryness of the eyes, and redness of the eyelids.
